# Large Donations

**If you wish to donate more than $2,000 USD** to a project, please [contact us](https://maearth.com/contact) and we can coordinate direct donations via ACH, credit card, or bank transfer.

If possible, we will work with you and the organization (or host partner) to provide tax receipts if possible.

*Note: Not all donations are tax-deductible; eligibility for a tax receipt will depend on your country's tax laws and the country of the organization or host partner receiving your donation.*

Kindly allow 2-3 weeks for us to coordinate tax receipt documentation for large donations.

#### Three ways to fund the work

1. **Power the matching pool.** Matching funds are distributed through quadratic funding, so your contribution also unlocks thousands of smaller donations from people who give because the match exists.
2. **Back the stretch goal.** Your funds are shared evenly across all projects, but only if the [collective goal](/ma-earth/funding-explained/ma-earths-funding-model.md#the-three-streams) is reached. A cooperative counterweight to quadratic funding: everyone wins when the target is hit.
3. **Build a direct portfolio.** We'll shape a portfolio of projects around your geographic or thematic priorities, with 100% of your funds reaching recipients.

*Legal disclaimer: Contributions become the charitable assets of Ma Earth Foundation, which exercises full discretion over all grants. Donor preferences are advisory, but not binding.*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.maearth.com/resources-for-donors/questions-about-donations/large-donations.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
