# Stripe Onboarding

To complete your onboarding on Ma Earth and receive donations and matching grants seamlessly, you will need to set up your Stripe account.

Below are answers to a few questions that commonly arise during the setup process. However, **please refer to** [**Stripe's support center**](https://docs.stripe.com/get-started/account/set-up) **for comprehensive guidance.**

### **Stripe Onboarding FAQs**

#### Will donations get mixed up with transactions outside of Ma Earth?

No. When you connect your Stripe account to Ma Earth, Stripe will create a dedicated account to manage transactions connected to the platform. You will only see Ma Earth donations in this account.

#### Do I have to set a climate commitment?

No, you do not have to set a climate commitment. You can select "No thanks" at the bottom of the page and continue with your Stripe setup.

#### What is a payout schedule?

You can select a payout schedule to transfer funds to your bank account on a rolling basis (ie. every week), or you can select "manual" to send payouts only when you choose.&#x20;

Note: Manual payouts are available in all regions except Brazil and India, where payouts are always automatic and daily. In most regions, manual payouts typically take 1-4 business days to arrive in your bank account after initiating the manual payout.

Stripe doesn’t charge a fee to initiate normal payouts. However, most [non-primary currency payouts](https://docs.stripe.com/payouts/multicurrency-settlement) (payouts in a currency other than your Stripe account’s local currency), do incur Stripe fees.

#### Do I need to pick a product type for sales tax?

No, you do not need to pick a product type, as there are no products involved in transactions on the Ma Earth platform. Select "not right now" at the bottom of the page.
