What do I need to know about the Stripe onboarding process?

To complete your onboarding on Ma Earth and receive donations and matching grants seamlessly, you will need to set up your Stripe account.

Below are answers to a few questions that commonly arise during the setup process. However, please refer to Stripe's support center for comprehensive guidance.

Do I have to set a climate commitment?

No, you do not have to set a climate commitment. You can select "No thanks" at the bottom of the page and continue with your Stripe setup.

What is a payout schedule?

You can select a payout schedule to transfer funds to your bank account on a rolling basis (ie. every week), or you can select "manual" to send payouts only when you choose.

Note: Manual payouts are available in all regions except Brazil and India, where payouts are always automatic and daily. In most regions, manual payouts typically take 1-4 business days to arrive in your bank account after initiating the manual payout.

Stripe doesn’t charge a fee to initiate normal payouts. However, most non-primary currency payouts (payouts in a currency other than your Stripe account’s local currency), do incur Stripe fees.

Do I need to pick a product type for sales tax?

No, you do not need to pick a product type, as there are no products involved in transactions on the Ma Earth platform. Select "not right now" at the bottom of the page.
