Future funding rounds will introduce more flexibility. #### **Can I edit my application?** As our selection committee reviews applications, you may receive an email requesting additional information for your application. You can make those changes through your dashboard on Ma Earth. The selection committee can see if significant changes have been made—anything that dramatically changes the scope or intention of the project—and it is best to avoid altering your project in any significant way. You may not make significant changes to your project after confirming your participation. However, you may add additional images to your project, enhance your project story, or create [project updates](/resources-for-land-stewards/project-updates.md) at any time. #### Which projects are eligible? Ma Earth supports community-led, nature-based initiatives with an established track record and a round-appropriate funding scope. Learn more in our [Project Guide](/resources-for-land-stewards/project-guide.md). **Is it okay to apply if the project is still in the planning phase?** It is okay to apply with a project that is still in the planning phase. In the case of a new project, a strong organization track record will be favorably considered. Funding rounds are not recommended for "seed funding" for a brand new organization. **What does "grassroots" mean?** Grassroots, community-led nature projects are those that represent localized, community efforts, as opposed to an independent individual initiative, or a large institutional project. **Can community garden and youth education projects apply?** Yes. Education is one of the nine [project categories](/resources-for-land-stewards/project-profile/project-categories.md) listed in the application process. **Can a water-based or marine project apply?** Yes. Applicants can select up to 3 [project categories](/resources-for-land-stewards/project-profile/project-categories.md), including water and marine regeneration. #### **What is an eligible use of funds?** During the application process, the application committee reviews the proposed activities listed in a project application. If a project is accepted, that means its proposed activities fit within the scope of the project mission and any expenses incurred to complete proposed activities qualify as an eligible use of funds. #### Can I change host partners in future rounds?
