# The Difference Between Organization and Project Profiles

**To summarize: Organization = Who you are. Project = What you're doing**

#### Your organization profile

Your organization profile represents your group:

* Who you are (name, description, mission)
* Where you're located
* Your team
* Your legal structure

Think of this as your permanent identity on the platform. Over the years, you might run several campaigns for different projects under the same organization.

#### Your project profile

Your project profile represents the specific work you're seeking funding for at this time:

* Specific goals and timeline
* What you'll accomplish with this funding
* Measurable outcomes
* Approximate timeline

Projects are time-bound. Organizations are ongoing.

#### One organization, many projects

You create one organization profile. You might create multiple projects over time as you apply to different funding rounds.
