# Trusted Evaluator Guide

Trusted evaluators are organizations with expertise in land regeneration, ecosystem monitoring, or impact evaluation. Their endorsements and evaluations help donors better understand the projects they are supporting.

#### What trusted evaluators do

Currently, trusted evaluators endorse organizations on Ma Earth, verifying that an organization does the work they claim to do.

In the future, they will also evaluate project results, bringing greater transparency to how impact is tracked. \
\
This brings greater credibility to the ecosystem of projects and helps donors make more informed decisions.

#### Why trusted evaluators matter

**For donors:** Independent endorsements help identify which organizations are trusted in the network, informing their funding decisions.

**For land stewards:** Evaluator endorsements of nature projects build credibility with potential supporters.

**For the ecosystem:** A shared layer of accountability supports quality and trust across the platform.

**Expertise:**\
Deep knowledge in land regeneration, ecosystem restoration, impact measurement, or related fields.

**Track record:**\
Demonstrated experience evaluating projects or working directly in regenerative land stewardship.

**Independence:**\
Fair, evidence-based assessments even when there are existing relationships with organizations.

**Credibility:**\
Recognition in the field or community as someone whose judgment can be relied upon.

#### Can I be both an evaluator and a host partner?

**Yes.** Many organizations may serve multiple roles in the Ma Earth ecosystem. You might host projects while also evaluating others, or endorse organizations you don't have financial relationships with.

**Trusted evaluators and host partners are essential to Ma Earth's ecosystem.**

Without endorsements from trusted evaluators, donors have less information to make funding decisions. Without host partners, many projects can't access the platform at all.

Both roles strengthen the entire network and make collective funding possible for more nature projects around the world.
